Hmmm. Looks like there never was a guarantee...

I was actually surprised that the 2.4 Kernel was still being maintained at up to this point, until I realized that RHEL (and most likely others) only recently EOLed a release version that uses the 2.4 Kernel.

I believe the first Kindle Keyboard used a 2.4 kernel.
