I've been trying to buy for the last couple of weeks some notebooks for work. We do only Linux/Unix work so first thing I ask suppliers: "can you *not* force me to buy Windows". So far only Dell have responded with a yes, but only after I emailed Michael Dell (that in itself was very impressive, getting a phonecall the next day "hi, I'm following up on your email to Michael"). However, their offer is pretty idiotic: Still, waiting to hear from IBM/HP/Acer...
