Obviously, you haven't been following the news. Ever heard of SCO? Go see what Mandrake is doing. It's not intrusive, it's not "stooping." It's finding a way to continue to provide a damn fine distro. The sad thing is that the folks at Mandrake have to look for this kind of revenue because there are a lot of users who just download the distro and don't support them in any way -- not with money, nor code.

Ever heard of Verisign?(fresh from a day of BIND recompilation and staring at mail logs to be sure the thing's actually working right after bad reports on the bind9-users list... still seething...)
