Response to McBride:

You still don't get it. We don't want your IP. We don't care about your business plan. We don't
steal things.

This whole issue is about control. You want to control what isn't yours. You want to 'monetize'
what isn't yours. You want to tell IBM how what to do with what isn't yours. You want to tell
us what to do with the fruits of our labor.

You are right in one thing you have said. If you show us the code, and in fact it is inappropriate,
it will be removed from the kernel. Why? Because you don't want it there on the terms that the
kernel is based on. We are not changing the licensing model, development model, ownership
model of the kernel because you think it isn't right.

Conciliatory? I've seen that type of conciliation when a man beats his wife and tries to make
peace with her. He doesn't get it either.

Derek (speaking for myself, and maybe others who would agree)
