Seigo: Spark becomes Vivaldi

On his blog, Aaron Seigo writes about a name change for the Spark tablet: "Today, however, I get to share with you an adjustment in our naming scheme. We ran into a problem with trademark for the name we had chosen, and this pushed us back to the drawing board. This may have been a blessing in disguise as we looked into some of the broader pictures around this topic. In the end, we decided to go with a musical theme that celebrates some of the brightest lights in human history when it comes to making, playing and living interesting lives. For our debut product, the tablet formerly known as Spark, we have re-christened it: Vivaldi"

Greg KH Readies for Collaboration Summit, Talks Raspberry Pi (Linux.com)

Over at Linux.com Jennifer Cloer talks with Greg Kroah-Hartman about the Linux Foundation Collaboration Summit in April, and other topics. When asked how moderating a panel of developers differs from interviewing Linus Torvalds, he replied: "Seriously, it's much the same, but instead of just one person answering questions, there are 3 different viewpoints being offered, which can result in the conversation leading places you never expect. An example of this would be the kernel panel that happened last year at LinuxCon Japan, where the developers on stage got into a big technical argument with the kernel developers in the audience, much to the amusement of the rest of the audience. If done well, it can show the range of ideas the the kernel developer community has, and how while we don't always agree with each other, we work together to create something that works well for everyone."
