SSHVnc 0.1.2 released (SourceForge)
Version 0.1.2 of SSHVnc, a Virtual Network Console that uses ssh
for secure communications,
is available.
"This release of our secure VNC application marks a change in our software
distribution policy. The installation is now catered for using the ZeroG
installer, providing distributions for Linux and Windows with and
without the Java 1.4.2 VM. This release also sees the inclusion of
a number of useful configuration options. These include the execution
of commands on connect/disconnect allowing the user to start/stop their
VNC server remotely, and predefined settings for low/high bandwidth
connections."

SSHVnc 0.1.2 released (SourceForge) Posted Sep 22, 2003 4:40 UTC (Mon) by Baylink (guest, #755) [Link] It seems worth noting here that VNC originated at the AT&T/Oracle/Olivetti UK research labs, and that theteam who designed it, now at realvnc.com, released it under the GPL, which is where these folks got it to modify. :-) They also named it "Virtual Network *Computing*". Thanks to them -- *and* to their bosses, for letting them. Got a project an employee wants *you* to think about opensourcing...?
