DuckDuckGo: A privacy-conscious search engine

DuckDuckGo is the most useful general-purpose search engine for technical topics now that Google Linux search is no more. It does not do as well as Google Linux did on very obscure topics, but nevertheless it has been quite satisfactory for getting work done. If a topic can't be found on DDG, my next stop is a searchable mailing list archive (such as gmane), and final attempt is standard google search.
