The "Googlerola" deal might change the way that companies feel about Android, Shuttleworth said which provides an opening to Canonical. The sad thing is it provided a new opening for Windows Phone 7, too -- which is already shipping. With Microsoft extorting money from Android-using phone and tablet vendors, they might also figure that since they are already paying MS, why not use the actual MS OS. Some reports I have seen hint that the licensing fee to Microsoft is in the same ballpark in both cases, which is probably not accidental.
