YODAIKEN: AGAINST PRIORITY INHERITANCE

the issue of priority inversion in real-time systems by means of a
commonly used software technique known as priority inheritance.
Priority inversion refers to the situation when a scheduled task

FSMLABS SENDS RTLINUX TO COLLEGE
FSMLabs has announced a collaboration with the Center for
Experimental Research in Computer Systems (CERCS) at Georgia

XILINX AND MONTAVISTA ANNOUNCE EMBEDDED LINUX FOR PPC-BASED FPGA
MontaVista Linux will soon support the Xilinx Virtex-II Pro
field-programmable gate array (FPGA), thereby enabling developers
of embedded Linux products to target a completely programmable,
re-programmable, and field-upgradable silicon system platform.  The
Virtex-II Pro FPGA offers hard IBM PowerPC 405 processor cores,
custom IP generation, multi-gigabit serial transceivers, and
on-board RAM.

toward running Linux on Microsoft's Xbox game console legally.  The
effort represents important progress toward claiming the $200,000
