I think this approach can be properly be described by one word: paranoia.

It makes no sense, but people are doing it anyway. What a world.

Paranoia is a very good way to describe Marvell's treatment of its manuals, yes.

But also how FSF is worrying how I am giving up my ultimate freedom; betraying the FSF cause by not seeing a problem in having free (as in beer) non-free code; or even non-free non-free code.
