Kernel release status

The current development kernel remains 3.1-rc6; there have been no releases - development or stable - in the last week.

True to form, Linus released 3.1-rc7 at git://github.com/torvalds/linux.git soon after this article was released.

Perhaps he uses LWN as a reminder of when he should do releases.
