One useful Firefox addon is Certificate Patrol: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/certificat... - flags any certificate changes in an alert bar, so you are more aware of what's going on. Helpful when combined with Perspectives addon mentioned in article: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/perspectives/
