What a load of bullshit

What a load of bullshit

Parent article: Ten reasons for giving Slackware Linux a go (ZDNet)

They somehow suggest that installing software from source is more secure than installing it through a package manager -- wtf?? And it goes on. They say that Slackware is "more neutral" than other distros because "Slackware allows for the installation of numerous desktops and not just KDE or Gnome.". Well yeah, except that Slackware hasn't shipped Gnome for 6 years. I stopped reading after that, as the author clearly doesn't have a clue what he's talking about.

Indeed. Almost all the statements in this article are subjective, which is
not surprising at ZDNet.
