The brand new ia64 code of the kernel embbeds a '76 disco-sytle first-fit allocator Che ! PEACE MY BROTHER ! Well, more seriously, why a so bad designed allocator falled here ? I just don't care the legal problem, but on a technical point-of-view, I think the power-flower mallocs are a little bit over-dated.
