Based on my experience of the quality of EFI implementations so far:

I suspect that any current UEFI vendor who implements this will be free to ship GPLv3 bootloaders by virtue of being so indescribably inept that it'll be trivial for anyone to bypass the trusted path and boot their own bootloader.
