I once owned a bull terrier (may she rest in peace). Those dogs are really tough, and I can imaging that that one continued to attack the porcupine after being zapped with all those needles. Probably why it got so many of them.

Ah, that's the result of a bitbull attacking a porcupine. I couldn't work out what strange creature/art/photoshopping excercise it was. It seems to show that those dogs are very stupid, or insensitive to pain, (as well as incredibly ugly).

A bull terrier is not a pitbull (or bitbull ;). Although, they may have been used in pit fighting (along with many other types of dogs), but they were best at getting rid of rats. My dog was really good at digging up moles in the yard, but she was a wimp when it came to any other dog. My parents lhasa apso use to dominate her (and so did pretty much any other dog).

My dog (and the one in the picture here) looks like this:

This dog is best know for "Spuds McKenzie":

And currently the Target dog:

A pit bull looks more like this:

Which I think is a much uglier and more aggressive dog. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder ;)

FYI, pit pull's are usually very PEOPLE friendly. And they are generally fine with other dogs as well. You see pit bull's in flyball quit a bit as they are short and fairly quick - first dog in this video is a pit bull and is part of a household of probably 8+ other dogs:

Lots of other dogs around during tournament - no more problems than any other breeds.

They are also usually very family friendly dogs - quite docile/lazy and very *protective* with kids. However, that trait makes them extremely aggressive with other dogs that they perceive as threats to "their" humans.

Note: yes these are generalizations. Pit bull's trained to fight are an entirely different beast (as is any animal cruel people have had a hand in raising...).

In short: while some pit bulls may be aggressive for whatever reason, don't paint the whole bread with the same brush.
