Believe. Most of the increase is almost certainly embedded in DVDs. Every cable company and sat operator pushes them now. They get a small monthly fee for the feature. Since the cable box already knows how to demodulate digital cable from the wire/dish and decode MPEG2/4 and offer a complex menu and guide data, the only additional hardware is the hard drive. So they are renting you a $50 (quan 1 from you choice of online vendor) product for $10/mo. How can they lose?
