Europe are now available. "For the first time, they are all released
in full HD resolution. We also switched to the VP8 video codec, which is
the latest greatest Open Source and royalty free video codec."

Awesome; good test case for VP8 support. I'm a bit puzzled as to why they don't also provide a lower-resolution, smaller version though. The download sizes are huge!

video size is big, streaming is too slow to watch, quality is not good either comparing to youtube, not to mention this is supposed to be HD.

I did contact Michael about it, and his answer was that there is not much doc about the encoding parameters, so it's difficult to set the bar right.
Also, he considers the compromise between some videos being very big (when the cameraman was moving a lot) and some much smaller to be "reasonable".
