Maybe lots of people are using LWN's comment filtering feature? Go to My Account and filter his username. This one change removes most of the stupid (by volume) from LWN's comment feed. Highly recommended!

Good point and I should do it. There are something like 16 new comments since I checked this morning, of which 11 are by this one guy.

I have no problem with people filtering out my comments if they so elect. I think that's a basic freedom they should enjoy.
