(Incidentally, Mr Mueller -- who till recently enjoyed stirring things up in the comments section of LWN -- seems to have disappeared from this site lately. Good riddance. Dare one hope that, one day, he will actually start checking his facts before commencing his muck-raking?)

Not literally. The devil is powerful, and is often spoken of but never seen. Neither of these apply to Florian.

Maybe lots of people are using LWN's comment filtering feature? Go to My Account and filter his username. This one change removes most of the stupid (by volume) from LWN's comment feed. Highly recommended!

Good point and I should do it. There are something like 16 new comments since I checked this morning, of which 11 are by this one guy.

I have no problem with people filtering out my comments if they so elect. I think that's a basic freedom they should enjoy.

Generally, FM was my hint to hit the "Back" button. It's amazing how someone can be so tireless at being so tiresome.
