We must expect more distributions to die, for whatever reason, over time. It would be very interesting, in years to come, to have a history of these: nothing big, but a few salient facts (birth, death, philosophy, final package list, ...) and maybe a copy of their final web pages and even iso image, disk is not expensive any more. Historians in 100 years would have plenty of PhD material!

LWN seems to have one of the best lists of distributions around and seems well placed to learn of such deaths. Could they perhaps do the above - creating a sort of Linux Valhalla ?

I still have the masters for Eridani Linux (and the website). I would make ISOs available but trying to offer that over my ADSL line would kill it...

The last webpage for Eridani Linux 6.3 is at http://www.eridani.co.uk/e63historic.html - some menu entries are no longer links as they would generate 404 errors now.
