We prefer that, honestly; otherwise we have to post a followup comment for every typo we fix. And, as hard as we try, it is getting harder to read every single comment that gets posted. The comment volume has been increasing, and we could well miss one.A feature on the site code "todo" list for a while has been a separate "report typo" or "send note to the author" link at the end of stories. But the list is long...
