Incidentally, you can check this by grabbing the beta RPM from ftp://ftp.redhat.com/redhat/rhel/beta/6/source/SRPMS/kern... - the presence of patches like "redhat-tagging-2-6-31-50-el6.patch" that have

as their sole contents should be a give away that the patch generation is automated!
