As I mentioned on Priscus's comment below, it is not a matter of whether both desktops are available on the installation media, it's about whether both are installed in one combined desktop environment.

Didn't RedHat do a bunch of work related to that a while ago, setting things up so that KDE apps integrated nicely into the Gnome desktop L&F? "Bluecurve".
Not as new as the author thinks

Skin deep integration, I think. Bluecurve was about theming. This is going much deeper...
