Sony changed the rules (Linux no more possible). At least in France, it is a break in the contract with end user, and Sony could be sued for this, and indemnify all users.

I wonder what they will do with Nasa and its 2000 PS3 cluster...

I doubt the NASA ever run the GameOS on their PS3s, so they do not get firmware updates so OtherOS does not get disabled. (I have a PS3 running Linux 24/24 and I never had to worry about firmware updates).

With a thousand PS3's I bet they get regular failures. And of course, sending the PS3 to be repaired means the firmware gets upgraded...

So no. NASA *I*S* affected, and their cluster is apparently dying on its feet!

Cheers,
Wol
