When talking about bugs in
any software, it's useful to ensure that they have been reported coherently. And then to refer to the bug reports directly when discussing them.
In this particular case there was little chance that the bugs hadn't already been reported, but it would still have been useful to give links to bugzilla, so that anyone interested in them could easily track the progress and get notification when they are (potentially) fixed.
It is simply a good habit to get into, and a sign of responsible discussion.
Nothing annoys me more than people whining in public fora about bugs that they haven't even bothered to report to the developers. Not that that's what was happening in this case, of course, but still I do expect people to be in the habit of citing bug numbers. Thanks for providing them.
