I don't need an email account to read feeds. And I don't need to give you, *possibly* evil publisher my email address so that you can send me feeds.
Also, I can unsubscribe easily from your now-turned-evil feed :)
This is at least one of the reasons why this relation is false: mail > feed.

Well, if you have a box to periodically run rss2email on as a cron job, you're likely to have the ability to install an email server on that box and read email there without channeling it through another account anywhere else.

Or maybe you just misunderstood rss2email -- it's a script that reads rss feeds and turns them into emails when you run it.
