Yeah, it would be nice if the author would set up an account on https://www.createspace.com/ and upload a snapshot through them every couple months. Then you could simply buy a copy off of amazon.com.

My thought was that people wanting printed versions would simply print them, possibly using the various web-based services. On the other hand, I wasn't aware of the publish-PDF approach.

So, which is the best place to post PDFs?

I haven't really thought about cover design. Ideas? Perhaps a stylized programmer preparing to shoot self in foot with a double-barrel shotgun, gatling gun, or the like?
