Subject: [png-list] PNG: The Definitive Guide (re)released online
I'm pleased to announce that my PNG book, "PNG: The Definitive Guide,"
is once again available--this time online, in HTML+PNG format, for free:
http://www.libpng.org/pub/png/book/
See the History section in the preface for details, but basically it's
the original text with electronic improvements (including better figures
and a fully linked index) and some corrections (errata, PNG-site URLs,
etc.). The Free Software Foundation is looking at the possibility of
updating and republishing it in paper form, but that will require another
author and is not yet definite, I think.
Thanks to O'Reilly and Associates (and Lauri Petrycki, in particular) for
agreeing to re-release it under the GNU Free Documentation License.
(Btw, please direct any discussion to png-list only, not png-announce.)
