Numerical computations with Scilab 5.2

Can anyone help me in doing wavelet transform in scilab? I need some step-by-step guide. I have installed both wavelab and scilab wavelet toolbox without knowing 1. which one is better, and 2. How to use them. None of them is well-documented.

I am new to both scilab and signal analysis.
