Fast forward to some date in the future. Storage capacities have now become so big that they make storing uncompressed video "feasible".
But the size of compressed video is still a few percents of the uncompressed equivalent. Even in the future, who would be interested in wasting so much space?

You could have used the same argument to argue against audio (even compressed audio) as opposed to flat text. Even in 2010, who would be interested in wasting so much space?
