The blue behind the football player and the purple of the building in the night are different between the original and processed photos... or is it my Firefox (Maverick RC) displaying them differently for some reason?

The left hand ones are JPEG (probably original) and the right hand ones PNG, which uses different libs. They should probably re-encode the left-hand ones into PNG with a trusted converter so we can really compare apples to apples.

Maybe your Fx is applying color-profile information differently to JPGs and PNGs?
