It's ridiculous that they don't want to even be associated with the event, like it would be a warez conference or something, not a very proud gathering of brilliant minds. They'll probably be loud to announce they run linux when the time comes, but for now they prefer to be in the crowd. It' a shame...

This is apparently often the case with Python, and I can imagine that some organizations would take the same approach to their OS (unfortunately).
