From a marketing perspective, I wonder if Cyanogen should drop the Mod part of their name, because the word "mod" has some negative connotations when it comes to hardware (and is associated with sometimes-illegal mod chipping of consoles)
<joke>
Ubuntu should start an Android deriv with the tagline "Android for human beings".

Works well on my G1. Better somewhat then the previous version. The browser is a massive improvement. This was the first time I tried 'ROMmanager' instead of doing it manually and it worked out pretty well.
One thing that I noticed what that the JIT stuff was disabled by default. Once I found the performance options for cyanogenmod in the settings I was able to enable it with a reboot. After that then emulators seem to work a bit better, but I don't see much of a huge improvement.
Another odd thing that I've noticed is that sending files to Android over bluetooth is that sometimes it won't work for certain file extensions. I've noticed 'unknown errors' for *.bin and *.apk files, but if I encase them in zip then they work fine.
Only wish I had more RAM. :(

I believe the Jit is turned off by default on the G1 specifically because of this device's constrained hardware.
