from Len's presentation "apple benefits from system integration." No reason we shouldn't either, if you're buying from a Linux vendor. The biggest obstacle that I can see is that OEMs aren't OEMs, they're buying systems from OOEMs who're still building stuff Designed for Windows. Perhaps they could work more closely with Linux distros to get better support (e.g. intel_idle, fixing bios bugs, etc.)

It'd be great to see closer collab between Linux OEMs (who exercise at least a modicum of control on the OOEMs) and distros!
