1% of the global population?
10% of all computer users?
100% of all operating systems?
In some areas it has been the "year of the Linux desktop" since 1997, for others, they are just starting.
An example is in this week's LWN. Poseidon Linux. Year of the scientific Linux desktop since 2004.
