Yup. That's exactly what we did. This is working, running code. It exhibits 100x improvements in managed runtime metrics like responsiveness, sustainable memory size, and object allocation rates (which translate linearly to sustainable transaction rates). It [hopefully] proves that this can actually be done, and that it's probably a good idea to do it. How exactly to integrate it upstream will be a long and interesting discussion.
