They're both true. Sorry, it's been a while since I explained this little detail: when counting Linus's signoffs, I disregard those which appear on patches which already carry Andrew Morton's signoff. Everything that goes through Andrew gets Linus's signoff because Andrew sends them as email; if he put them in a tree to be pulled, this wouldn't happen. Not counting those gives a much more true indication of how many patches Linus himself has reviewed and accepted.
