I really wonder why Broadcom is so secretive. What do they feel the need to hide? Have they done something illegal in producing their hardware, or are they just gripped by the intellectual "property" paranoia that is sadly common in the modern business world? Why is Broadcom the last anti-Linux holdout among the wireless chipset vendors?

I should also mention that this is particularly suspicious given that their Linux driver for the Crystal HD video decoding chipset is GPL.
