what you envision is precisely what cannot
happen because MS is a monopoly and will
not permit it. Unfortunately, in the short
run, but fortunately in the long run, folks
must choose Mac or Linux or MS, not all.
It some point of critical mass, folks will
abandon MS in large numbers and then
your vision will come about.
