The Gentoo distribution forks
The Zynot Foundation has been formed to
manage a fork of the Gentoo distribution aimed at "embedded users,
enterprise users and developers." Those interested in why this
fork is happening can read Zachary Welch's verbose
story explaining his actions. There is also a document on the way
forward, which is mostly concerned with project management issues, and a Frequently Asked Questions
page. It's
worth noting that Gentoo is also considering a
