Except that to most people, "freedom" in the context of an operating system is no different from "freedom" for pistons or carrots. It's just weird.

It is weird that people fail to appreciate the clear and present danger that Apple, the DMCA, ACTA, etc. pose to their freedom. RMS may be derided by some as extreme or crazy, but he sure was prescient.
