This is the announcement for Trustix Secure Linux 2.0 release candidate 1
nickname Thunder.

We firmly believe this to be a suitable release candidate, but expect that some
issues may discovered when more users commence testing, and testing grows in
intensity. We have gotten very valuable response from the beta testing, and
expect the response on this release to be equally esteemed.

You will probably not be able to swup-upgrade to it from earlier betas, except
Beta 3, and for the quality of the testing, a plain reinstall is still
recommended. However, from this release and on to the final release, there will
only be minor changes that will be swup-able.

* Warning: Upgrade from beta 3 using swup *
If you have installed beta 3 and couirer-imap, you should be careful.
The new packages must be downloaded and upgraded manually using:

$ rpm -Fvh --noscripts courier-imap*

The reason for this is a combination of the courier-imap initscripts split, and
an error in the old packages.

If you remove the old packages, using 'rpm -e <packages>', you will be able to
install the new versions without any issues using 'swup --install <packages>'

We wish to thank those who tested and gave us valuable feedback on the previous
pre-releases.

We still lack some response on the status of some services / utilities:
* cups. - Are you able to get your printer to work?
* cyrus-imapd. - Does this work well with various setups?
* cyrus-sasl. - Does authentication work with ldap or sql databases?
* iproute. - Let us know if it doesn't work as expected.
* netatalk. - Let us know if it doesn't work as expected.
* openldap. - Let us know if it doesn't work as expected.
* rp-pppoe. - Let us know if it doesn't work as expected.

Please report discovered issues on tsl-discuss@trustix.org.
