I cannot do the basic stuff, such as posting series of patches. If I want to hack on a project that uses Mercurial, I import it into a git repository and work on it with STGit. Unfortunately, I'm not aware of any tool like git-svn that would allow me to track a Mercurial repository with git.

You mean the patchbomb extension? Seriously, did you even try Google?
