Since we already have SeaMonkey, SpiderMonkey, TraceMonkey, GreaseMonkey, the WebMonkey site, and at least another dozen projects with 'monkey' in the name (not to mention Mono of course), I think it might be time to place a moratorium on any more project names in this vein. Who's co-ordinating these decisions, anyway?

Infinitely many monkeys. They finished Shakespeare some eons ago and now have other plans.

As everyone probably knows by now, and I accidentally found out only last week, this project must refer to Cracked.com's MonkeySphere, a popular account for Dunbar's number. As such it has a legitimate cause (i.e. a pop reference) for using that "Monkey" part. I wonder about where the fixation with monkeys inside Mozilla came from.
