The point in the GSMA statement where they say "by constructing a large look-up table1 of approximately 2 Terabytes this is equivalent to the amount of data contained in a 20 kilometre high pile of books" really says it all about their response.
Yes, given the mindset of the paper pushers who run these cartels and "industry organisations", they've probably assigned someone to the job of printing the table out on the office printer.
(I noticed yet another consumer electronics "industry organisation" the other day - something to do with home networking and entertainment - and wondered what the motivations are for the same companies to set yet another one up for almost the same purpose as the last one, and the one before, other than to maybe give jobs to "the right people" or as part of some kind of "tax deduction" strategy.)
