Indeed, getting hardware is a problem. Of the two officially
supported ARM boards,
only the Freescale i.MX51 evaluation kit is available to the public,
and that was only
announced on Nov 4, 2009. I can find no way to purchase a Marvell Dove board.
However, the BeagleBoard (OMAP3) works and there are instructions for installing Ubuntu on it. Also, the Netwalker (i.MX51) is available in Japan.
