Hey Scott,

That's a really interesting process for robustly upgrading between releases of Fedora -- have you scripted it and could you share the scripts?

(Thought rolls through barren wasteland of head: if you back up /etc and /root, can you also test to see if /home is on a separate partition and, if not, back that up too?)

No I haven't scripted it. I'm not a huge fan of automation which is odd since I'm a sysadmin. Repetition is about the only way I can remember multi-step processes these days. :)

I have always used an online upgrade; yum upgrade works for me.

I was surprised to find that a new $A75 Radeon HD4550 card works with 3D out of the box with no xorg.conf and dual screens, one CRT, the other LCD.
