I'm not sure turning off Kontact integration will fix the first of those bugs, which can be summed up as 'metakit sucks and implodes if feeds are ever incorrectly stored'. This happens with Akregator 3.5.x as well, and can even be triggered by rare and hard-to-predict events like, uh, running out of disk space.
