	This is a round-up of news and announcements related to the
	Scheme programming language, mostly taken from newsgroups, mailing
	lists and web sites that I'm aware of.	The aim is to publish in
	multiple formats on the web each week, but more on that later.

WebIt! - An XML Framework

	The WebIt! collection supports the creation and processing of
	XML, HTML, and CSS using Scheme. The core of WebIt! is RS-XML,
	an abstract datatype for XML.  WebIt! requires PLT Scheme v200.

mod_scheme for Apache 2

	mod_scheme embeds a thread-safe Scheme interpreter into Apache 2.
	Work is continuing.

GNU Kawa 1.6.99

	A new release of the Kawa JVM Scheme environment was uploaded
	on 12 June, taking another mighty step forwards in implementing
	SRFIs and more.

	The PLT email lists have been unified on one Mailman host.

Systas 1.0pre3

	Tom Lord's systas fork of GNU Guile sprang back to life with a
	new release in mid-May.

SISC b1.5.2

	There has been a new release for this extensible GPL/MPL
	Java-based Scheme environment on 12 June.  It combines a number
	of bugfixes and overhauls error handling.  It has now grown
	beyond a single floppy disk in size, though.
